My girlfriend and I have decided to do a two weeks trip to Switzerland & France (1 week in each country). We will land in Geneva and fly out from Paris. We are thinking about going from Geneva to Bern to Interlaken and then from there back to Geneva then head over to France. Is that a good beginning for the itinerary or should we do something else? We are trying to travel on a budget so trying to keep the costs down. And over in France go from Lyon etc up to Paris.
What can we NOT miss in Switzerland and France? Would be good to get some tips as I've never been to either of the countries!

It is better from Geneva to France take a shuttle service - 30 euros one way because there is no way to go to Switzerland from there except going back to Geneva.
